Back to the roost
We’re stoked to share this new action edit by Stevie, Jonas and Lukas.
Stevie’s roots in mountain biking go back to downhill racing, where everything revolved around split times, precision and carrying speed through every corner. Over the years that focus evolved from pure racing into freerace, and eventually into what simply feels like the best kind of riding — good days on the bike without a stopwatch in sight.
What stayed constant is the fascination with direction changes. For Stevie, the turn has always been the most technical and most honest moment on the trail. It’s where commitment shows. Where you load the bike, manage grip, and decide how far you’re willing to push the rear tire while still staying in control.
Early on, the goal was to be as smooth and efficient as possible. Inspired by powder snowboarding and surfing, that perspective gradually shifted. The clean exit still matters, but so does the drift. So does the dust hanging in the air. Not for show — but for feel. For flow right at the limit.
This video focuses on exactly that. No storyline built around it, no race context. Just the essence of our favorite direction changes.
The bike Stevie is riding is our Yalla!! V2. The Yalla! is back in stock.
